I have been singing and performing for many years and I know
how frightening a new experience can be. It doesn't matter how long you have sung, or how talented you are, if
it is a different environment or style, the thought of that can be "really scary". I try to provide a
safe environment for everyone to learn in. I believe in allowing each individual to experience the healing art
of music.
Believe me, I have seen so many different people come through my door and leave with and increased sense of well
being, and self esteem, it is amazing to me. I love it. If I can help, that is my honour.
I never lie to the person about their ability but I also never belittle them. Everyone has to start somewhere and
not everyone is going to become a professional. I truly believe that each little toe we put outside our comfort
zone becomes a huge step in becoming the incredible person we are supposed to be. Bear in mind, some people just
want to feel comfortable singing around a campfire. |
