This show is best described as 'musical comfort food for the soul'. Sherry is joined by a talented group of musicians, along with backup singers who pour their hearts out, for a tasty concoction of songs that will make you laugh or perhaps bring a tear to your eye. Sherry's designed various exciting, informative, affordable, and most of all, fun vocal workshops for all ages and levels of vocal experience. The only prerequisite is that you must love to sing!
The Level One and Two workshops are six-week sessions with one two-hour class per week. Each student works on two contrasting songs, an up-tempo (fast) and a ballad (slow). The classes are small so each student receives individual as well as group instruction. The workshops cover various vocal techniques, tips on the music business and tricks of the trade.
The seventh class for both Level One and Level Two is a full performance, complete with professional sound system, lights, camera and lots of action! Students get the opportunity to put to use all they've learned in the past six weeks and share it with an audience in a theatre setting.
Many Level One students, because of the fun they had and their new found confidence in their ability, are very excited at the prospect of either re-taking Level One, or moving on to the challenge of Level Two.
