| Here's a closer look at some highlights of events
that Sherry has been involved with, and a quick peek at what's in the works for future. |
| |
| For this artist, there is often an underlying
purpose behind her efforts. Extending the reach of her music to enhance others lives, to raise money or awareness,
or to broaden horizons (her own and others) are some of the ways that Sherry uses her talents and energy. |

Introducing the Healing Art of Music
Foundation (Calgary)
|
| |
This non-profit organization was recently established by Sherry
Kennedy. Her intention is to financially assist people of all ages and levels of experience, who wish to realize
or further their desires within the musical or visual arts world but do not have the financial means.
A portion of the sales of Sherry Kennedy's paintings, from this event, will go to the Foundation.
Donations to the Healing Art of Music Foundation (Calgary) will be gratefully accepted. |

| "Singer in the Band" Weekend Retreat |
| |
| The first weekend retreat hosted by Sherry Kennedy stemmed from
a vision to create an environment where non-professional singers would feel really comfortable about letting loose
and participating freely. The premise of the weekend was for singers to learn to sing with a live band. For most,
it was their first experience with a band, which was very exciting for both the singers and the band! Add to that,
Sherry broke her foot two days before the event so needed wheels to get around. (No, nothing could stop her from
staging this event!) |

The Healing Art of Music
|
| |
|
Foundation Established
June 2011
|
| |
| In addition to music, Sherry Kennedy has another artistic interest
and she's combining the two, calling the project "The
Healing Art of Music". |
|
|
| In Sherry's words ... |
| "I have seen the Healing Art of Music in action whether
it is with the corporate sector, survivors of cancer, children, abuse victims or people who are going through personal
relationship trauma. For all of these individuals or groups they find a development within themselves that is very
difficult to describe. It is my ultimate privilege to watch the people I work with blossom before my eyes. My intention
is to use the knowledge, passion and the skills that I have to assist anyone with the desire to experience the
"magic" of music." |
| |
| That insight, combined with her passion for painting with acrylics
will be part of the project. Kennedy's paintings have earned commercial success, with more than a dozen of her
works being sold. |
